Colts defender suspended six games for PED violation

The Indianapolis Colts are facing another PED-related suspension.

The NFL announced Wednesday that they have suspended Colts defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad without pay for the team’s next six games. The suspension stems from a violation of the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Muhammad’s suspension doesn’t affect the Colts all that much. Though he had a big role in Indianapolis during the 2021 season (starting all 17 games and finishing second on the team with 6.0 sacks), Muhammad is only on the practice squad this year and hasn’t appeared in a single game for the Colts.

Interestingly enough, another Colts defender (this one much more crucial) was already suspended for a PED violation earlier this season. No matter, it seems that the Colts get stronger with every additional player that they lose, sitting firmly in the playoff hunt at 7-5 despite being without Anthony Richardson, Jonathan Taylor and others due to injuries.
