Colts defensive player suspended by the NFL
Jenna Watson/IndyStar / USA TODAY NETWORK

Just as one Indianapolis Colts player comes off the NFL suspension list, another goes on.

It has been announced that DE Al-Quadin Muhammad has been suspended for six games by the NFL.

The New Orleans Saints drafted Muhammad in the 6th round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He joined the Colts in 2018 and spent four years with the team before signing with the Chicago Bears in 2022.

His time away from the Colts would only be one season, as he rejoined the Colts this offseason and has been a member of their practice squad this season.

The best year of Muhammad's career came in 2021 with the Colts, where he started all 17 games and recorded 48 total tackles, six sacks, seven tackles for loss, and 13 QB hits. Muhammad now will miss the remainder of the Colts games this season and will have to miss an additional game either in the playoffs this season or the first regular season game next season.

While it's never good to see a player suspended, Muhammad has yet to dresses for a Colts game this season, so this suspension isn't likely to affect the team. in any significant way outside of a spot on their practice squad opening up.
