After the look at the video, there was a lot to like about the Indianapolis Colts' 23-20 victory, coach Chuck Pagano reported Monday.

He felt equally encouraged on the reading of a magnetic resonance imagery test on center Samson Satele's left knee.

"It looks positive," Pagano said, then checking himself, "or in our favor. He feels really good. Coming out of the deal there's some stiffness and soreness, but he's waiting to see the doctor."

Pagano didn't speculate on whether, or how much, time Satele might miss after suffering the second-quarter injury Sunday, but the coach seemed upbeat on the issue of injuries in general.

He classified outside linebacker Dwight Freeney (ankle), wide receiver Austin Collie (concussion), guard Joe Reitz (knee) and tackle Winston Justice (concussion) as day-to-day.

Regular Season Week 2, Quick Recap: Colts 23 v Vikings 20

The Indianapolis Colts (1-1) rebounded from their shaky opening-day performance to beat the Minnesota Vikings in their home opener, 23-20. It was a finish a bit too close for comfort for the Colts, who entered the 4th quarter with a 14-point lead. Conservative play calling that prevented the Colts offense from moving the ball until the last drive of the game kept a shaky, inconsistent...

Win puts the Colts at ease

The AP points out that the Colts found great relief from their first win, but more importantly from the way they won: Winning early, on the other hand, has put Indy’s players at ease. The veterans who endured last season’s debacle acknowledged Monday that they’re glad 2012 won’t be like 2011, regardless of how many games they win, and the newcomers are just happy that they’ve...

Gabbert to start against Colts

Colts pass rushers should lick their chops: Blaine Gabbert expects to start on Sunday for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Gabbert was pulled from Sunday's 27-7 loss to the Texans in the fourth quarter. It initially was unclear if it was due to his 7-of-19 passing performance or an injury. The Jaguars later confirmed it was the latter, initially saying it was a leg injury, but since...

Overlooked due to the RG3 hysteria, Andrew Luck will become one of the league’s preeminent signal-callers within two years

Kuharsky's notes on Colts-Vikings

Paul Kuharsky of ESPN says that he loved Luck's pocket presence and mobility during the Vikings matchup, among other notes.  What I liked: Luck is just fantastic on the move, whether it’s a relatively small step up or slide over or a big rollout or run away from pursuit. Obviously he cannot lose 22 yards trying to run out of a late sack and has to surrender at times. But...
