The Indianapolis Colts have suffered yet another injury to one of their players in just the second day of their training camp after former Cardinals cornerback Greg Toler left practice early on Wednesday as a result of a concussion, reported ESPN.com. A sports writer, Tom James, who covers the Colts’ tweeted this statement regarding Toler’s injury: Nervous moment of the day: CB Greg Toler staying down on the field for a few minutes after diving to break up a pass. Suffered a concussion. — Tom James (@TribStarTJames) July 31, 2013 Toler was signed by Indy in the offseason as an unrestricted free agent to assist the franchise in revamping their secondary defense. When Colts’ head coach Chuck Pagano was asked about the injury he stated this to NBC Sports on Thursday, “It’s not real serious. Again, it is one of those deals where you have to go through the protocol” … “They will go through the proper protocol, test him again tomorrow and then we just wait until they release him just like when it happens during the season, you still got to go through the normal protocol.” Along with Greg Toler wide receiver LaVon Brazill, linebacker Mario Harvey, rookie offensive lineman Khaled Holmes, and nose tackle Martin Tevaseu all missed practice on Thursday with minor injuries, according to the Associated Press. Colt’s defensive tackle Kellen Heard is reportedly out with an illness. Follow @TheNFLInjuryRpt Looking for fantasy football advice?

Indianapolis adds swagger, confidence to defense

(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated.) By MICHAEL MAROT AP Sports Writer Chuck Pagano and Andrew Luck have seen a different Colts defense at training camp. Players are confident, aggressive and have Luck scrambling. Colts to become a run first team?

My disdain for the Colts’ offensive attack has never been a secret. Since the early 2000s, the Colts have too often abandoned the running game, focusing on an air-it-out attack that won piles of games, but rarely took them deep in the playoffs. Now, it seems the Colts are considering a change, for better or worse. “Well, the time constraints in the NFL are just as challenging...
