Found June 12, 2012 on The Colts Authority:
It's finally time for Andrew Luck. It's finally time for a new era.  The season really doesn't get underway until July 28, when the players report to training camp at Anderson University. Nevertheless, mini-camp, which starts today, is the first chance we'll get at seeing the entire 2012 roster (for now) together, with Andrew Luck at the helm.  As the team embarks on three days of work, all eyes will be on Andrew Luck, the obvious choice for "Biggest Storyline of Colts' Camp."  He's replacing an incredibly successful legend in Peyton Manning, and will be the face of the new regime and it's place in history. If Luck turns into a superstar, the Steve Young to Manning's Joe Montana, then he will forever be the face of the second era of greatness in Indianapolis. If he flops, just ok, or even slightly above average, he will forever be associated with the loss of Manning, and likely the failed regime of GM Ryan Grigson and head coach Chuck ...

Rookie Luck returns to practice field

Andrew Luck is finally back in Indianapolis and ready to get started. The No. 1 overall pick returned to the Colts' practice field Tuesday for the first time in about 5 1/2 weeks, and looked like he hadn't missed a thing. During a one-hour morning workout in shorts, Luck had only one of his 16 passes in team drills hit the ground - and that was a dropped pass. He's...

Andrew Luck was more focused on Colts playbook than he was for school

After missing OTAs to finish up his degree at Stanford, Andrew Luck on Tuesday finally got back on the practice field with Colts teammates. And according to Luck, he found it hard to focus on his studies during the final few weeks of school. Very understandable. Almost everyone who’s ever been to school can relate to Luck’s motivational struggles in the classroom. But at the...

Minicamp roundup: Colts' Luck wows teammates at minicamp opener

Andrew Luck will walk in Stanford's commencement ceremony on Saturday to receiver his degree in architectural design. Despite league rules that kept the No. 1 overall pick away from the Colts until classes were completed last weekend, he's already looking like a pro in Indianapolis. "The kid," said wide receiver Austin Collie, "has got it." Luck, a...

Reggie Wayne not sure if Andrew Luck can “throw a pro football”

Getty Images Indianapolis Colts rookie quarterback Andrew Luck was finally able to join his teammates on the field this week after missing OTA’s while he finished up his classes at Stanford. Colts receiver Reggie Wayne indicated that it wasn’t the best thing for Luck to miss OTA’s. “Not ideal,”said Wayne. “You’d like to have had some time to get out there with him and...

7,500 fans greet the new era Colts

This offseason has been filled with less-than-positive news for the Indianapolis Colts but don't tell fans that. 7,500 fans rolled into Lucas Oil Stadium today to get a glance at rookie Andrew Luck and this new team: The Colts took the field to loud cheers from those in attendance and even for a 10-year veteran like linebacker Robert Mathis, running out of the tunnel still gave...

Morning Huddle - unbridled optimism in Indianapolis

If Andrew Luck's receivers can get this kind of separation, he'll have a long, prosperous career in Indianapolis. Colts players and fans are having no trouble moving on from the Peyton Manning era. Reviews are flying in that rookie quarterback Andrew Luck is a huge success. I don't have a problem with optimism, but Colts fans and players do need to realize their quarterback...

Notes on the Minicamp Open Practice

Sorry for the lack of art to this post, but here are my hastily assembled notes on the minicamp practice held at Lucas Oil Stadium yesterday. The Colts had still-unsold seats marked for potential purchase. While there were a few scattered down low, almost all of them were unsurprisingly located in the upper-bowl near the top in the corner. They aren't really bad seats and...
