Colts practice squad with a side order of info

As tweeted Sunday, the Colts announced they had signed five players to the practice squad. And it wasn't a surprise the five were among those cut on Saturday: QB Tom Brandstater, DE John Chick, KR/WR Brandon James, S Mike Newton and WR Blair White. I had confirmed Newton and White before the email came out, and had discussions with representatives about Brandstater and Chick and knew they were probably in the fold. I suspect the Colts added three other players to get to the maximum of eight, but have yet to announce them. We'll find out either today or Wednesday. It will be interesting to see if Brandstater, White and James stick around. It's my understanding there was interest in them, especially White, who opted to return to the Colts' practice squad because I was told nobody else was offering anything more than the same position.
