The Indianapolis Colts promoted outside linebacker Daniel Adongo and offensive tackle Xavier Nixon from the practice squad to the active roster. They agreed to terms with fullback Robert Hughes and defensive tackle Jeris Pendleton, who will be signed to the practice squad. The team placed inside linebacker Mario Harvey and running back Daniel “Boom” Herron on injured reserve. Prior to joining the Colts, Adongo most recently played for the Southern Kings of Super 15 Rugby, the highest level of pro rugby in the world. Nixon was originally signed to the Colts active roster off the Washington Redskins practice squad. Hughes rejoins the Colts after being waived by the team in October. He played in one game this season, catching one pass for six yards. He also played in five games (one start) with the Colts in 2012 and recorded one rush for five yards and one reception for three yards. H Pendleton was originally selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the seventh round la...

Colts Elevate Adongo & Nixon; Place Herron & Harvey on IR

The Indianapolis Colts have made some moves and added former rugby star LB Daniel Adongo and OT Xavier Nixon, as well as putting RB Daniel Herron and LB Mario Harvey on the injured reserve. The former Rugby star project is now on the 53 man roster. Just in July, Daniel Adongo was learning how to put on a helmet. Now, he's on the active roster and takes that next big step in the...

Colts in sad shape for playoff run. But, hey…Adongo is a cool story.

It’s true. They are. I’m happy that they beat the Titans in Week 13 to more or less seal the AFC South, but they are going to be in big trouble in the playoffs. This team was able to beat the Broncos earlier in the season, but that was when the apparent genie in the bottle known as Reggie Wayne was healthy. Evidently, every success for this team hinges on him for some reason...

Rugby star eager to prove himself with Colts

(Eds: Updates. With AP Photos.) By MICHAEL MAROT AP Sports Writer Daniel Adongo is finally starting to feel comfortable with the Colts. That's good: The Kenyan rugby star is about to play his first football game - ever - when Indianapolis faces Cincinnati on Sunday in a showdown of division leaders. Adongo has figured out the lingo and nuances of the sport, learned the proper...

Maybe This is Why the Colts Didn't Sweat Losing Pierre Garcon

Ever since the Indianapolis Colts lost Reggie Wayne the team has struggled. Luckily the AFC South is not very good and they'll cruise into the playoffs as the No. 4 seed at the worst. However, I can't help but think that maybe--just maybe--things could be going better for the Colts had they made a stronger effort to hold on to Pierre Garcon.Than again, maybe they knew something...

Brown getting 2nd chance to deliver for Colts

Colts running back Donald Brown waited patiently for a chance to start this season. When he finally did, Brown delivered. The strong, silent running back who spent 4 1/2 seasons trying to break through finally did Sunday, rushing for 46 of his 54 yards on the Colts' final drive and scoring Indy's only touchdown in a 22-14 victory over Tennessee that put them on the verge...

Trent Richardson might need to get his vision checked

If Colts running back Trent Richardson keeps missing holes like this…he might need to get some glasses. Reggie Wayne says Trent Richardson felt forced into offense too quickly

So what’s wrong with running back Trent Richardson? Richardson essentially has said of the Colts, “It’s not me, it’s you.” Via the good folks at StampedeBlue.com, receiver Reggie Wayne shared with Jake Query and Derek Schultz of WNDE radio comments Richardson made to the veteran wideout and de facto leader of the team after Richardson was benched this past weekend for...

Colts: Week 13 | The “no coast offense.” Here’s what we’ve learned so far…

Quarterback Andrew Luck calls a play at the line of scrimmage (Photo: Colts.com) There’s no such thing as an ugly win. But, the Colts came about as close as it gets on Sunday, with a 22-14 victory against the Tennessee Titans that can only be described as really, really, ridiculously unattractive. The game was won on special teams and defense, the highlights being five Adam Vinatieri...

Colts' Ricky Jean-Francois Out 2-4 Weeks

The Colts suffered a bad injury on Sunday against the Titans when defensive end Ricky Jean-Francois went down with an injury. He sprained his foot and did not return to the game and head coach Chuck Pagano said today that he will miss 2-4 weeks at best. This should really test the depth of the Colts' defensive line. The Colts are going to need Jean-Francois come playoff time...

5 things to know about Colts'22-14 win over Titans

Andrew Luck knows there is plenty to do before the playoff talk can really begin in Indianapolis. Heck, all anyone had to do was watch the Colts' offense bog down on another ragged Sunday. With the AFC South all but wrapped up following a 22-14 victory over Tennessee, Luck made it clear this is not how the Colts want to go into the playoffs - struggling to move the ball, struggling...

Chanita Foster Making Moves Beyond the Game

By Theresa Villano “Called to be a server”, is the phrase that was placed in Chanita Foster’s heart as a child and has carried on to be her life long mantra. Mrs. Foster may be best known for working in sports, for her husband (George Foster, a first round draft pick by the Denver Broncos in the 2013 draft), or her notable appearance on Vh1 Football Wives. But it is clear these...

Colts-Bengals Preview

Chuck Pagano has never made it a secret that his top priority as the Indianapolis Colts' coach is to make sure his franchise quarterback has adequate protection. Keeping pass rushers away from Andrew Luck may be even more difficult with a banged-up offensive line Sunday as the visiting Colts try to clinch the AFC South title against the defensively stout Cincinnati Bengals....

Week 14 Fantasy Football Roundup: It's Playoff Time

Colts RB Donald Brown is one of the top waiver wire adds for week 14. If you're still alive in fantasy football right now, you're either starting the playoffs this week, or are in a league where the commissioner decided to wait until week 15 to start the playoffs (an ill-advised move, because many star players on NFL teams with locked-up playoff spots may be sitting...
