The Indianapolis Colts have made a transaction today, sending veteran Fili Moala to the Injured Reserve and signing defensive end Gannon Conway. It looks like Fili Moala will have another shortened season. Moala partially tore his ACL, which is good enough to miss the entire season, according to sources. Moala tore his ACL in 2012 as well, but managed to play in every game last season, notching 19 tackles. Moala has been a depth player and rotational defensive end for the last couple of seasons now. He is in the final year of his contract. The Colts then signed undrafted free agent Gannon Conway, who is expected to compete for a roster spot as a defensive end (5 technique). He played in 30 games at Arizona State, starting in 14 and made 51 tackles, hsf 5.5 sacks, and 2 passes defended. He was named honorable mention All-Pac-12 in 2013. Conway signed with the Dolphins after the draft but was released a few days later. The injury bug has taken out the first Colt of the season.
