Rookie safety Delano Howell was signed to the Indianapolis Colts' active roster from the practice squad of the Buffalo Bills. Howell entered the league as an undrafted free agent from Stanford. He played in one game with the Bills and was waived, then re-signed, twice. Offensive guard Seth Olsen was cleared to return to practice, but remains on injured reserve. Olsen has played in 12 career games, including the first three games of the 2012 season with the Colts before he was placed on injured reserve Oct. 8. The Colts have three weeks to determine whether to activate Olsen.

Colts interim head coach Bruce Arians could face tampering charges from the NFL for stating that he'd love to have Lions star Ndamukong Suh on his team.
The Carolina-Clemson rivalry got the best of former Tiger C.J. Spiller over the weekend.
Buffalo Bills teammate Stephon Gilmore, a former USC player of course, tweeted the above picture as part of bet that Spiller lost involving their former teams and the rivalry matchup this past Saturday.
Via Twitter, Gilmore wrote: “The moment you have all been waiting for. C.J. Spiller has...
It probably wasn’t meant a recruiting pitch, but Bruce Arians of the Indianapolis Colts went a little too far while discussing the talents of Ndamukong Suh. Arians made comments about Suh that were in contrast to those made by Texans QB, Matt Schaub. Unlike Schaub, Arians doesn’t see Suh as a dirty player. He should [...]
The spotlight continues to shine brightly on T.Y. Hilton.
The Indianapolis Colts rookie receiver/return man has been named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his impactful game against the Buffalo Bills.
Hilton, a third-round draft pick, gave the Colts a 7-0 first-quarter lead by returning a punt 75 yards for a touchdown. It was the Colts first TD with a punt return...
Colts signed S Delano Howell off the Bills’ practice squad.Strong safety Tom Zbikowski left last week’s win over the Bills with a shin injury. If he can’t go this week, Howell can step in as depth and help on special teams. He’s an undrafted rookie out of Stanford.
Howell competed in both football and track & field at Stanford University where he wore number 26 on the...
(Eds: Updates. With AP Photos.) By NICK MENDOLA Associated Press After a slow start to his career in Buffalo, Super Mario has found the next level.
Too bad for the Bills and their fans, it's a little late for a realistic postseason push.
Either way, the high-priced defensive end is starting to give Buffalo a bit of a return on its offseason investment. The Bills have slipped...
(Eds: Updates. With AP Photos.) By MICHAEL MAROT AP Sports Writer As the NFL game slows down for him, T.Y. Hilton is playing faster. As opponents pay more attention to Reggie Wayne, he is emerging as a key contributor. And as the smallest player on the Colts' roster, Hilton is making a huge impact.
The 5-foot-9, 183-pound rookie couldn't dream of a better way to start a...
Colts interim coach Bruce Arians expects Chuck Pagano to take full control of the team when he returns -- even if that means making a coaching change in the playoffs.
"If he comes back, he'll be the head coach," Arians said when asked if Pagano would be making all of the game day decisions.
It's the most definitive answer the Colts (7-4) have given since Pagano...

Following Sunday’s loss to the Colts, Stevie Johnson said he wants coach Chan Gailey to give up play-calling duties.Johnson posted a 6/106/0 line, but he wasn’t happy afterward. “How I see it, I think we need to let our quarterback call these plays,” he said. “He’s out there on the field. Not much was expected of the Indianapolis Colts this season, but they're right in the AFC playoff hunt.
The Detroit Lions are well out of the NFC race after ending a lengthy postseason drought a year ago.
The Colts will go for their sixth victory in seven games on Sunday while the host Lions try to avoid a fourth straight loss.

By now you’ve all heard the story; during Sunday’s game between the Indianapolis Colts and Buffalo Bills, Colts cheerleaders had their heads shaved in honor of Coach Chuck Pagano, who is battling leukemia. It all started with a Twitter challenge from the Colts mascot, Blue, asking if one cheerleader got her head shaved if he could raise $10,000 for leukemia research. Cheerleader...
When blacked out Bills games roll around it becomes very difficult to stay vested in their success. Considering that Sunday’s game along with the St. Louis and Jets games are likely to be blacked out, I’m pretty sure my Sundays are going to be free.
If you plan on using the super-secret internet feed, good for you. If you plan on enjoying a Sunday with intermittent radio...
"You can win the World Series without Babe Ruth.''
On a few occasions, Chan Gailey would tell his coaches this before the Bills hired him as coach. Now, you could view it as being a way to say we can get a team full of good players and win without a star player. It is a team game, right? Standard coach speaking. However, after about two and half seasons worth of...
