Tight end Dwayne Allen, who was the third-round selection of the Indianapolis Colts in the April NFL Draft, signed a contract Wednesday, the team announced. Terms of the deal were not announced. He is the ninth of 10 Colts draft picks to sign. "It’s a great feeling to get this out of the way and behind me," Allen said in a statement released by the Colts. "Now I get to focus on football because that's what I love to do. The Colts did a great job as well as SportsTrust who represents me in getting this thing done as quickly as possible so I can get to training camp in time." Allen, who was the 64th overall pick, had 93 catches for 1,079 yards and 12 touchdowns at Clemson. Last season he caught 50 passes, the most by a tight end in Clemson history. The performance earned him the 2011 John Mackey Award, which goes to the player chosen as the best tight end in NCAA Division I college football.
