The Indianapolis Colts signed DE Lawrence Guy off the Packers’ practice squad today. Guy is a 2011 seventh-round pick out of Arizona State. Cory Redding is hurt with a knee injury that is probably the reason that he was brought aboard, but Guy could have a good chance to stick with the Colts. As a true freshman, Guy played in all 12 games of the season, starting the final eight. He totaled 44 tackles (17 solo), 10.0 tackles for loss (minus 22 yards), two sacks (minus nine yards) and one fumble recovery that he returned for a touchdown. Guy’s 44 tackles were the second-highest among Pac-10 defensive tackles on the season. Guy subsequently earned consensus All-Freshman honors, as he was named to FWAA′s Freshman All-America team, The Sporting News′ All-Freshman team, and College Football News′ All-Freshman first team

Nick Perry blessed, injury not as bad as originally thought

The Packers’ win over the Texans on Sunday night could be potentially season-altering. I thought it would be the monumental, signature victory that rights the ship for an inconsistent team that has yet to win or lose back-to-back games, but they did lose several key players which was not good news.Green Bay’s 42-14 win at Houston came at a steep price. Coach Mike McCarthy, who...

In order to prepare for action against the Cleveland Browns this Sunday the Colts front office signed free agent TE Weslye Saunders and poached DE Lawrence Guy from off of the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad. 5 Reasons Why the Colts Have Been Inconsistent

I can’t remember a season that saw more ups and downs than this one.  Forget week to week, the Colts’ Jekyll and Hyde routine often happens in the very same game, one moment looking like world beaters, the next seemingly unable to tie their cleats.  It’s been nearly remarkable. So what’s the cause?  Why have the vicissitudes of this particular season proven so fantastically...

Packers' Rodgers, Raji are on the mend

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- One day of limited participation at practice was enough for Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. After admitting Wednesday that the calf injury he suffered in the Week 6 win over the Houston Texans was still "a little tight," Rodgers was feeling better Thursday as he took part in every phase of Green Bay's practice."He's been getting a lot...

Green Bay still looking for back-to-back wins

Stringing wins together was something the Green Bay Packers did with ease last season. This year, not so much. Coach Mike McCarthy says ''back-to-back'' is the team's theme this week. As impressive as Sunday...

Packers shut down a strong Texans offense

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- It was a win the Packers (3-3) very much needed, and their 42-24 beatdown of the previously undefeated Houston Texans on the road demonstrated just how good this year's team can be. Jones, Cobb Add to Offense's Power

Greg Jennings and Jordy Nelson are the nationally known stars but James Jones and Randall Cobb are having big years. Without them, the up-and-down Packers might be in big trouble.
