Potential is a word often used for NFL players who have all the attributes to be a great player in the league.

When you are drafted in the 2nd round of the NFL draft, you are expected to fulfill this potential.

Unfortunately, this hasn’t been the case with Kemoko Turay who the Indianapolis Colts drafted in the 2nd round of the 2018 draft.

While he has shown flashes, injuries have also played a role in limiting him so far in his NFL career.

Perhaps a change of scenery would be best for him.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Turay has been the subject of trade talks for the Colts.

Rapoport:

“The former second-rounder has been the subject of trade calls, as Indy appears open to trimming its payroll at depth spots on the offensive and defensive lines. Turay has shown flashes, and perhaps a change of scenery would help him reach his potential.”

Ben Banogu has also reportedly been included in trade talks as well.

Banogu was also a second-round pick by the Colts in the 2019 draft.

But he has struggled to make an impact on the team.

It’s hard to believe that the Colts could any compensation greater than a late-round pick for either player at this point.

But, if the Colts are facing roster issues, getting something is always better than nothing.
