Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star writes that it’s hard to imagine a scenario where DE/OLB Dwight Freeney is back with the Colts in 2013. Chappell cites the fact that Freeney is not a good fit in their 3-4 defensive scheme as the main reason why the Colts will likely move on without him this offseason. Freeney, 33, tallied 5 sacks in 2012, but it hard to expect him to build upon that total in the coming years. He should be able to find interest from 4-3 teams in need of help at defensive end. The Seattle Seahawks have been tossed out as a speculative option for him, but there could be more options depending on Freeney’s asking price. We have Freeney listed as the No. 49 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list. The post Colts Unlikely To Re-Sign DE Dwight Freeney? appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.

Yesterday he tweeted this to the public: I can give 20 reasons why the Colts have potential for a serious...

I'm surprised Dwight Freeney is not a name more associated with the Patriots in terms of potential FA target. He is proven veteran -- for which Belichick must definitely have a lot of respect -- that could be a great pass rush specialist for the Patriots

I’ve gotten a couple questions about Freeney and I just don’t see him fitting on the...

Ed Reed, Dwight Freeney, Brent Grimes Offer Free-Agent Fixes for Patriots’ Defense (Photo)

The Patriots improved on defense all year, but some issues still need fixing this offseason. While the focus with the offense was on wide receivers, the defense’s needs are similar. The Patriots need help at cornerback. Aqib Talib added some life to the unit during his half-season in New England, but he’s headed for free agency, and doubts continue to grow about his potential...
