Andrew Luck is projected to be one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL and the favorite to win the offensive rookie of the year. Luck has looked great during the preseason but will get his first test this Sunday in the NFL opener against the Chicago Bears.

The Colts vs Bears odds in this game at top online sportsbook BetOnline have the Bears tagged as (-9.5) point favorites with the total posted at 41.5. Bet on the Colts vs Bears game at top-rated sportsbook BetOnline and get up to $900 in free plays to wager on football this weekend.

The defense for the Bears has always been impressive and nasty and they should be excited to get a look at the highly touted rookie. The defense is anchored by veteran leader Brian Urlacher who has been on the sidelines suffering from a sore left knee.

However, according to the Chicago Sun Times Urlacher has vowed to be on the field for the season opener against the Colts.

The Bears fans have always had reason to get excited about their defense but this year they have reason to believe that they will have a good offense.

Colts vs Bears: Andrew Luck To Be Tested

In the off-season the Bears acquired talented, but often troubled wide receiver Brandon Marshall from the Dolphins. Quarterback Jay Cutler has always had a seamless chemistry with Marshall and the tandem will look to recapture their outstanding output they had while playing together in Denver.

With Matt Forte back in the huddle after a contract dispute the Bears offense should be clicking and ready to go against a suspect Colts defense.

Luck, like Robert Griffin III is tasked with playing a tough road game to start their NFL career. Luck may have moments where he looks impressive in this game, but asking him to win the game is just too much. The Colts are rebuilding and still don’t have enough talent around Luck to compete in season one.

Playing against a tough defense like the Bears will be a good learning experience, but painful. The Colts defense don’t have enough talent to keep the Colts in this game and that will allow the Bear defense to focus on the pass and frustrate Luck.Note: There is a poll embedded within this post, please visit the site to participate in this post's poll.

The line may seem a little high, but the Bears will want to flash their new weapon on offense and it will end in a blowout victory for the home team.

Colts vs Bears prediction: Chicago Bears -9.5
