A Guess at Friday's 53-Man Roster

With the most recent cuts and injury related moves, the Colts are currently down to 75 players on the active roster. By Friday at 4 pm ET, they must be down to 53 players.  Here's my early week guess at the final roster, with an aside: this roster is solely comprised of players on the roster right now. The Colts will likely add as many as 5-7 new faces after the league-wide...

Ryan Grigson Earns His Stripes with Trade for Vontae Davis

New Indianapolis Colts general manager Ryan Grigson has already impressed with bold moves to remake the Colts roster in the draft and through free agency. 2012 NFL Presesaon: Dolphins and Colts Execute Surprising Trade

When Colts' owner Jim Irsay tweeted that "TRADE WINDS (are) BLOWING!!!" earlier this week, it wasn't too big of a surprise. Irsay often appears to a monthly quota of semi-incomprehensible tweets to fill, and he had spent a good deal of time mostly out of the spotlight. It was about time for Irsay to grab some headlines. Far more surprising was the actual trade...

Colts trade for Vontae Davis

Colts’ owner Jim Irsay said on twitter recently that the team was going to make a big move, and they did just that by trading for Dolphins’ corner back Vontae Davis. Davis had fallen out of favor with the Dolphins, and was acquired by the Colts for the price of a second round pick and a conditional sixth rounder. The Colts badly needed to shore up their defense, and if Davis...

Robert Griffin III took a high-and-wide shotgun snap and drifted to the right to find Santana Moss for a 4-yard score, also at the end of an 80-yard drive. Call it a display of poise and...
