When Juan Castillo was fired as the defensive coordinator, the communication was supposed improve, but it has gotten worse. New defensive coordinator Todd Bowles job was to simplify the message, and get defensive players talking to each other. It’s not always sunny in Philadelphia, and it’s definitely not shining on the Eagles these days. The first year secondary coach was put in a tough position, trying to come in mid season and try to change things. So far he has been trying to make the right corrections. "I think everything is corrected, every week, all the time. Players are going to make mistakes, just like your children," Bowles said according to Les Bowen of Philly.com. "You don't want'em to happen, you can go over 'em and go over 'em. We have a responsibility to correct, they have a responsibility to get it right." "Expectations and Pro Bowl players - it's a new year. You have to prove yourself every week in this league.&...

The Philadelphia Eagles are in the middle of their worst season to date since 1999. With a combination of poor play and poor coaching, the Eagles find themselves at 3-7, by far the worst in the NFC East, and just about the league as well. While head coach Andy Reid will most likely go down, there is no doubt much of the 2012 Philadelphia Eagles team will go down with him. With the...
The 3-7 Philadelphia Eagles take on the 2-8 Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football in scintillating Week 12 action. I’m sure this “battle of the disappointments” isn’t what the schedule-makers had in mind when they put this on the calendar last spring.
It was supposed to Cam Newton, the rookie sensation in 2011, versus the resurgent Michael Vick. The Panthers appeared...
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Philadelphia quarterback Michael Vick and running back LeSean McCoy have been ruled out for the Eagles' game against Carolina on Monday night because of concussions.
Coach Andy Reid announced the decisions Saturday.
Eagles trainer Rick Burkholder said Vick is symptom-free, but McCoy has headaches and dizziness.
Vick was injured against Dallas on Nov. 11...
Fairly or unfairly, if there is one player who represents the underperformance of the 2011 and 2012 Philadelphia Eagles, it is Nnamdi Asomugha.
When the Birds landed the three-time Pro Bowl corner in the free agent spending spree that followed the NFL lockout in the summer of 2011, it seemed that the sky was the limit for the team. In hindsight, it’s hard to fault Vince Young...
Cam Newton has been compared to Michael Vick ever since he burst onto the scene at Auburn and led the Tigers to a national championship. While many will argue that their comparisons are race related, Newton understands that the comparison stems mostly from the fact that both quarterbacks can make plays with their arm and their legs. Newton says that dual-threat ability has its benefits...
The Philadelphia Eagles will be without their starting
quarterback Michael Vick and running back LeSean McCoy, who are each recovering
from concussions, when they take on the Carolina Panthers tonight.
Vick sustained his head injury two weeks ago against the
Dallas Cowboys. He was unable to suit up last weekend when the Eagles took on
the Washington Redskins, and he’s been...
This week’s Monday Night action takes us to Philly as the Carolina Panthers (2-8) get set to face the Philadelphia Eagles (3-7) in a showdown of possibly the two most underachieving teams in the league. The two teams have the worst records in the NFC. In fact, somebody on Twitter earlier said “Free Fallin” by Tom Petty would be the perfect soundtrack for both these teams. With...
Tonight the Philadelphia Eagles (3-7) will be hosting a Carolina Panthers (2-8) team who is, per their 2012 record, a smidge worse than the Birds of Philly. And while a lot of Philly fans see this season of high expectations a bust and are looking towards the offseason, nobody inside the NovaCare Complex is ready to give in.
Now, with the hope for a playoff appearance all but out...
