MedWish International is a non-profit organization that collects usable medical supplies and equipment from U.S. health systems and distributes it as humanitarian aid to developing countries. Since 2003, MedWish has kept more than 2.75 million pounds of medical surplus out of landfills and has sent much-needed supplies to more than 90 countries all over the world. MedWish was founded in 1993 in Cleveland, Ohio. For more information about MedWish, visit www.medwish.org or call (216) 692-1685. We’re nearly late to promote this event, but we highly recommend it. MedWish is hosting it’s annual fund raising dinner at the Wickliffe Italian and American Club this Saturday at 6pm. Tickets are $25, but we have a pair to give away. There will also be items auctioned off throughout the evening with the Cleveland Browns as the backdrop. Former Brown Dick Ambrose will be in attendance and signing autographs. Tickets can be purchased through MedWish here. In addition, MedWish is collecting items to send to partner organizations on the east coast assisting in the aftermath of super storm Sandy. “MedWish exists to meet the needs of people in developing countries who don’t have the same resources we have in the United States,” said Josh Kravitz, MedWish executive director, “but because we have such generous and energetic supporters in Northeast Ohio, and because of the extraordinary devastation this storm caused, we knew this was an important civic opportunity to rally this support to help our neighbors.” MedWish will be accepting unopened, non-expired donations of these items. They can be dropped off between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wickliffe Italian-American Club at 29717 Euclid Avenue in Wickliffe. Simply leave a comment on this post to enter to win a pair of tickets. You never know who might be there. There could be a good chance a certain WFNY writer could show up with shirts to give away…

Browns vs. Cowboys Reader Survey

The Browns are done with their bye and they’re headed to Dallas. Despite the wishes of some Browns fans, the status is decidedly quo in Berea. With that, it’s time to make your predictions.

Bernie Kosar Update

Below is an update on legendary Cleveland Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar. The following tweets were taken directly from Bernie’s Twitter feed dating back to the middle of last month and haven’t been edited or altered in any way. Tweet

The Browns are competing with the Chiefs for the #1 pick in the NFL Draft. Which team is worse? Week 11 preview.

Good news for Browns fans, they did not lose last week.  Can they continue this non-losing streak?  Doubtful. After a rough Week 10, I'm sitting at 92-54-1.  Who wants to keep track of a tie. Let's see if I can turn this around this week. Arizona at Atlanta - The Cards need to get some production from the QB position if they want any chance to make playoff...

NFL Report: Haden sits out practice again, status for Sunday uncertain

Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden did not participate in practice on Friday. Haden was injured in practice on Wednesday and sat out Thrusday with the oblique injury. Josh Cribbs gets it off his chest: “I feel like I'm better than the next man”

An obviously frustrated Josh Cribbs let loose on the coaching staff and whoever in front of him. He’s clearly not in a good place right now. Cribbs sounded off harshly to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plains Dealer, and didn’t pull any punches. "I've talked to the head coach but there's no point. Obviously they feel like everybody that's in front of me is...

Browns kicker excited about "Cowboy" homecoming

BEREA, Ohio (AP) -- When he was a kid, Browns kicker Phil Dawson worshipped the Dallas Cowboys. In Texas, it's mandatory. "Unless you grow up in Houston," Dawson said. "The rest of the state is Cowboys and that's all you did was follow the Cowboys." And that he did. Like many boys growing up deep in the heart of the Lone Star state, where football and...
