Cook: 'Favre is Retired'

Bus Cook's commenting on the Favre saga:Bus Cook, Favre's agent, told ESPN's Rachel Nichols and another reporter Thursday that Favre "is retired'" and he doesn't know of any phone conversation or meeting with Childress.Cook said Thursday that he spoke to Favre, who never mentioned any telephone conversation with Childress. Cook also added that he knew of no plans for Favre to address the Vikings situation publicly, as suggested in the Yahoo report.Jeez, make it stop already. If it's not gonna happen, someone from either Winter Park or Brett Favre himself needs to say so. What was once an exciting prospect for improving the offense has suddenly become a distraction that needs to reach a resolution sooner rather than later. This cannot be allowed to drag on -- either Favre wants to play for the Vikings or he doesn't. Enough of the vague denials from agents and the reports that quote unnamed sources.
