Quinton Coples had just finished his first practice with the New York Jets when he walked to the sideline while everyone else headed toward the locker room. The first-round draft pick strolled over to the man waiting for him and shook his hand and smiled. It was new team president Neil Glat. Good move, kid. Talk about a good first impression. And he wasn't too bad on the field, either. Rex Ryan raved about Coples during the first day of rookie minicamp Friday. But the big defensive lineman wasn't the only one singled out. Second-round pick Stephen Hill, a wide receiver from Georgia Tech, and third-rounder Demario Davis, a hard-hitting linebacker from Arkansas State, also impressed their coach during the 2 1/2-hour practice.

  • The Jets are building the right way you dont go all in for the SB every year. Now they have a strong D-line with 2 first rounders and a 2nd and a pro Bowl Vet. The Jets have the best CB tri in the NFL and added L Landrey for INS. Jets now have two young studs at WR a great TE and 2 1st round QB's. They make it back to the playoffs say 1 win then out.

Next years draft they target the best Saftey and OLB and are ready to compete for a Title.

Florham Park, N.J. - Over the past three years we've heard Rex Ryan continually preach about, "playing like a Jet" and what that means to him and should mean to Jets fans. IRVING, Texas -- New York Jets coach Rex Ryan revealed in February that his twin brother, Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, would be having Lap-Band surgery during the offseason. Draft Grades: New York Jets

The New York Jets are making some bold moves this offseason, and it carried over to the draft. The rolled the dice early and often with this draft class, and it could pay of big way… or it could cost Mike Tannenbaum and Rex Ryan their jobs. Quinton Coples was a bold choice in the 1st round, especially considering some of the impact players still on the board. While Coples has a...

Rainey targeted as 'big-play back' by Steelers

Through Friday morning, two choices from last weekend's draft, wide receivers Alshon Jeffery (Chicago) and Stephen Hill (New York Jets), already had signed their initial NFL contracts. New York Jets Will Remain The NFL’s Best Sitcom In 2012

I began the day with my ear to the NFL wall as usual. It’s been tough trying to find anything worthy of blogging about related to the NFL since the draft (yeah, it’s only been 1 week and I’m having withdrawls). There was the tragic news that broke surrounding Junior Seau. I got up about two lines, and that’s all I could really muster before handing it over to a TMZ link...

The AFC East is always one of the more interesting divisions to watch during the draft. That was true again this season. Would the Dolphins draft Ryan Tannehill as their quarterback of the future?
