Sportsday:
Philadelphia owed its second score -- a 48-yard field goal by David Akers -- at least in part to a mistake on punt coverage by Cowboys linebacker Curtis Johnson.
The Cowboys' possession ended with a Mat McBriar punt that was downed at the Philadelphia three. McBriar had to kick again because Johnson was called for going downfield too early for the seventh penalty of the season against the Cowboys' special teams.
The penalty cost the Cowboys a total of 13 yards. DeSean Jackson returned McBriar's punt to the Eagles' 16, giving Philadelphia the breathing room it needed to start a scoring drive.
