Wilson was benched in the first quarter of Wednesday’s opener against the Dallas Cowboys. He finished with two carries for four yards.

He did not play an offensive snap after the fumble at 6:34 in the first quarter. He was seen crying on the sideline after the fumble.

He has to cut back on his mistakes to receive more playing time. The Giants want him to be a significant player on offense, being that he was with the first-team offense early in the game.

While he did not see another offensive snap, he did play on kickoffs for the rest of the game.

Giants need to get act together after dismal start

The Super Bowl champion New York Giants aren't dealing with a loss of confidence after getting drubbed by the Dallas Cowboys in the kickoff to the NFL season, just a newfound sense of urgency.
