FootBasket:
The game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys that is going down on Sunday night could decide the fates of both coaches on each team in Andy Reid and Jason Garrett.
Reid is most likely coaching his last couple of games with the Eagles while Garrett’s coaching career is also likely hanging in the balance of these next few games.
Reid can get a job almost anywhere he pleases if fired, and Times of Trenton reporter Marc Eckel thinks he has an idea of where Reid may possibly land. If you agree with Eckel’s report, Reid could be facing and observing his next franchise. That’s right.
According to reports and sources close to Eckel, Reid thinks he could be the next coach of the Cowboys.
“I know a lot of people think Andy is going to San Diego next year, and I can see that happening,” the source said. “But I keep hearing Dallas. I think he can end up with the Cowboys. As a matter of fact, I think he will end up with the Cowboys, if Jason is fired.”
Rumors have circulated about Reid possibly taking time off, due to the death of his son and just the grind of being a head coach. All of Reid’s children are grown and I think coaching is what he likes to do. So do those closest to him.
“Andy’s a coach; that’s what he does,” one said. “I don’t see him going into the TV booth, although he probably could. I see him coaching somewhere else if he’s not in Philly.
“I think Andy would be a good fit with the Cowboys. I feel he would get along fine with Jerry (Jones). It would be the two of them working together, no middle man to get in the way.”
Where do you think Reid ends up?
