Is it time for the Atlanta Falcons to make a splash in the trade market? The trade deadline has been pushed for another couple days due to Sandy. This would give another few days for Atlanta to make a splash.
Is trading while undefeated a good idea? I say, absolutely. Rumor around the NFL is that Jared Cook, the disgruntled athletic tight end of the Tennessee Titans has requested a trade. Cook is a vertical threat and could greatly benefit learning from Tony G. Obviously, the Falcons are going to be either A) sign a free agent tight end in the offseason or B) draft a tight end this year. Why not propose a trade that would bring a talented young player to Atlanta? Well, TD and company will most certainly look at trading for Cook… that is, if the price is right! Would you want to see Atlanta add another explosive weapon and potential franchise tight end in future years? TD and Mr. Blank, the ball is in your court.

The more Atlanta keeps winning, the more coach Mike Smith keeps tinkering with ways to help the Falcons improve.
Smith's Falcons are 7-0 and the NFL's only unbeaten team, but the fifth-year coach still sees a club that's far from perfect.
That's why Smith led the Falcons through a rudimentary practice coming off their bye.

The Falcons loomed as the only unbeaten team remaining in the NFL, but they entered Sunday's game at Philadelphia as an underdog.
Perception lurked greater than reality: The Eagles as NFC heavyweight, having gained a berth to the conference championship game five times in head coach Andy Reid's first 13 seasons; the Falcons as pretender, having gone 0-3 in the playoffs in...
Julio Jones took his turn as Matt Ryan's No. 1 receiver Sunday in the Falcons' victory over Philadelphia. Jones caught five balls for 123 yards and a touchdown.Fantasy Spin:Meanwhile, Roddy White had just three catches for 38 yards. Through seven games, Jones has 499 yards and five touchdowns on 35 catches to White's 591 and four scores on 40 catches.

It’s funny: I am not angry over the 30-17 loss the Eagles suffered to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
Well, I am upset that the Falcons scored on their first six possessions and held a 24-7 halftime lead. The Eagles made third-down stops, only to be overturned by penalty.
The Eagles could not stop the rain and wind, nor could they stop Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan and the rest...

Apparently Asante Samuel has a bit of a problem with getting the cold shoulder from his old coach. Samuel’s Falcons put up a sound victory over Andy Reid’s Eagles on Sunday, 30-17. But it seemed like there was more than the result of the game...
PHILADELPHIA - The Atlanta Falcons had to work too hard and too long for some of their earlier victories, and they didn't want the same thing to happen again. So they scored early and often and rolled to a 30-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at rainy, windy Lincoln Financial Field to remain the NFL's only undefeated team. The Eagles had changed defensive...
Titans head coach Mike Munchak said on Monday that he expects that quarterback Matt Hasselbeck will likely make his fifth straight start on Sunday against Chicago and also tried to quash the idea that the team might trade tight end Jared Cook.
Munchak said he originally thought that starting quarterback Jake Locker might miss two or three weeks with an injury on his non-throwing...
