Before the 2012 NFL season kicked off if someone were to tell Chicago Bears fans that their team would be 7-2 and in first place in the NFC North heading into Week 11 most would have been more than satisfied.  Such a record would validate all the offseason transactions the Bears made but more importantly, the team would be better than the Green Bay Packers.  Oh but what a funny thing the NFL is. With 10 weeks of the regular season behind us the Chicago Bears are indeed 7-2 and atop the NFC North, but none of the remainder of the above scenario bares any truth.  The Bears offense is downright pathetic and it makes no sense.  For starters the addition of WR Brandon Marshall and RB Michael Bush was supposed to bring a new dynamic to the Bears offense.  Marshall was to be the big downfield playmaker that Chicago has been missing ever since they traded for Jay Cutler, and Bush would combine with Matt Forte to form a thunder and lightning type duo in the backfield.  But after nine games, I’m not impressed.… Read more
