You thought the Giants were done with injuries, didn’t you? Well, they’re apparently not. Starting MLB Jonathan Goff is now gone for the year, as Rich told you below…. Now what? The Giants are left with two rookies at MLB: Greg Jones for sure and possibly Mark Herzlich, who is listed as a SAM. We would love to see a success story come out of one of them this year, but you would be asking a rookie to call defensive signals which is not likely to happen…. The Giants could bring in Kawika Mitchell, Lofa Tatupu, Keith Bulluck or even bring back the recently cut Philip Dillard. Those options are not very promising. Mitchell blew out his knee and hasn’t played a full season since 2008. Bulluck is not a MLB. The Giants tried him there last year and he lost out to Goff. If Dillard was of any worth, the Giants would have kept him. Lofa Tatupu is said to be finished. This is a pickle the Giants are in now, that is certain. But it could work out if they sign a vet...
