The Cleveland Browns have wasted no time getting a coaching staff together. A day after officially naming former Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski the new Head Coach, the Browns announced the arrival of another former head coach in Norv Turner. Norv Turner, who coached the San Diego Chargers last season, has now found himself in Cleveland after being fired. Not only did the Chargers release Turner, but they also fired long time General Manager A.J. Smith and cleaned house. While San Diego cleaned house, the question has to be asked, what is the future of Philip Rivers as a Charger? Rivers is going to be 31 soon and everyone knows a new coach and front office means the arrival of a new quarterback.… Read more

  • Who would you replace him with? Tim Tebow? College Draft? The San Diego Chargers have bigger issues on the team than at Quarterback! How about an Offensive Line that can pass protect and throw a block for a running back! I didn't see anyone in the second level throw a block after the first three to four seconds of the play! This team has talent but no heart! I wish I could have them for a year! Trust me!
  • Well, they ran Brees out of town when he didn't have an offensive line. It's their history...blame it on the QB for not being able to get a pass off because he is laying on his back.
  • Tim Tebow could replace him. Tebows stock in low, he can scramble and throw on the run, other teams would have to play containment and avoid speed rushing. Rivers on the other hand is damaged goods. His mindset is all screwed up, he cant scramble (necessary with this depleted offensive line) he cant throw on the run and when he does, he throws picks. He hasn't won a 4 quarter come from behind game in at least 2 seasons. Tebow has and took denver to the playoffs, and would be a great interim QB while we train our new long term QB. Rivers could bring a nice draft pick and some other essential players too.
  • By all means ... please get Philip Rivers in a Browns uniform. I've followed Rivers since he was a freshman at NCSU and was always impressed with his grasp of the game. Unfortunately he cannot throw the ball from the ground. With a stronger O-Line in front of him, I think he will return to the stellar QB that he can be.
  • any where but s.d. is a good move for rivers, and while your add it take the whole team.
