It hasn’t been an easy route to this point either. The ever present circus brought on by the combination of Tim Tebow’s presence and Mark Sanchez’s pathetic level of play produced an atmosphere in which only the most talented teams in the league could succeed. Every week Cole Patterson will break down the performance of the New York Jets tight ends. Here is his take on week seven.
The Jets were without starting tight ends Kellen Winslow Jr. and Jeff Cumberland against the Saints. While their absence was felt, a young hero stepped up off the bench. A film study on Zach Sudfeld’s rise to the starting line up after the jump…
With the Jets being on bye this week after a 5-4 start to the season, it’s time to look ahead to the second half of the season and start thinking about what we can expect going forward. On a day that saw the New York Jets earn what might be the most impressive win of the 2013 season, it was no surprise that the defensive put together what may be its best all-around performance of the season.
With the monumental task of stopping Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints’ high-powered offense looming (albeit not inside the comfort of their dome), this Jets defense appeared...

Rontez Miles has been through quite a bit as a young man, but he is ready to make his impact on the NFL stage. The hard hitting ball hawk from Cal (PA) was finally activated to the New York Jets 53 man roster. Rontez is a very good friend of mine and I am excited […]
After a disappointing blowout loss in Cincinnati where the Jets barely scratched Andy Dalton, Gang Green came to play at home against the Saints. The front seven was the story of the game, making Drew Brees afternoon an absolute nightmare. Lets grade out the linebackers from week nine.
Grading System: For the 2013 season, I’ll use a simple grading scale when reviewing the linebackers...
A win over the Patriots? Been there, done that.
Beating a Super Bowl favorite mid-season? The name “Kerry Collins” rings a bell.
Monday Night Football? Comebacks? An overwhelming string of luck that should logically fade, but so far hasn’t? Yup, seems about right.
So forgive me if I’m not sold on the Geno Smith Era yet. Frankly, we’ve been down this road before, and...
