Dallas Cowboys And The NFL:
IRVING – The Cowboys could be without an offensive starter in the NFC East title game with the Giants, but it won’t be Tony Romo.
According to the team’s web site, starting left guard Montrae Holland has a partially torn left bicep. He is undergoing further tests Monday to determine the severity of the injury, which occurred late in Saturday’s 20-7 loss to Philadelphia.
Romo suffered a bruised right hand early in the game, but he’s expected to play Sunday night at the Meadowlands.
Holland has started 10 games after being signed before the Cowboys’ game against St. Louis on Oct. 23. The Cowboys turned to the journeyman after rookie Bill Nagy suffered a season-ending ankle injury.
If Holland can’t go, Dallas could use either undrafted rookie Kevin Kowalski or veteran Derrick Dockery at left guard. Kowalski replaced Holland against the Eagles. Dockery has been inactive the last two games.
Protecting Romo will be a major priority against the fierce-Giants’ front seven.

We should all be thankful to Jerry Jones for inserting himself into the middle of Saturday's loss to the Eagles.
If it wasn't for Jones' trip to the sideline for an animated discussion with Jason Garrett after Tony Romo's injury, the game wouldn't have produced a single compelling talking point. Thanks to the Giants' win in New Jersey, it was an anticlimactic...
