Tony Romo was 22/34 for 331 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 1 interception in leading the Cowboys to a convincing 34-9 victory over the Seattle Seahawks. The offense gained 447 total yards. The defense allowed 322 yards, but they stiffened when the Seahawks were in the Red Zone, limiting the Seahawks to just three field goals. The defense also sacked Matt Hasselbeck 7 times- 3 by Demarcus Ware, 2 by Brady James, and one each by Tank Johnson and Gregg Ellis. They also forced two turnovers, one fumble and an interception. Two of the Cowboys most important players, Demarcus Ware and Marion Barber, were injured. Marion Barber had his foot stepped on. He returned, but again left and went to the locker room with what was termed an injured pinkie toe. Demarcus Ware was injured as he rushed the quarterback and fell awkwardly. He walked off the field, and in an interview after the game indicated he "tweaked" his knee, but the injury did not appear to be serious, although he was not allowed to return to the game.
