Cowboys Injury Update: Dallas Reveals Stephon Gilmore Status for Playoffs
Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

The Dallas Cowboys topped the Washington Commanders on Sunday, winning the NFC East, and did so while holding out (due to injury) offensive lineman Tyler Smith and defensive lineman Johnathan Hankins, and (due to illness) offensive lineman Zack Martin.

But the Cowboys lost cornerback Stephon Gilmore in the process as Dallas' veteran cornerback suffered an apparent arm injury against Washington and missed most of the game.

Thankfully for the Cowboys, however, he himself said he will be back for the Wild Card round when Dallas plays at home next week.

Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy announced on Sunday evening from FedEx Field that Gilmore is good to go against the Packers.

“He told me he was fine,'' McCarthy said, "and he’d be ready to go.”

The Cowboys are set to take on the Packers - McCarthy's former team - in the Wild Card round next weekend.

The Cowboys finished the 2023 regular season at 12-5 on the year. ... reaching that mark, and the playoffs, for the third straight season under McCarthy. And now Cowboys Nation hopes that when they do it again next week at A&T Stadium, they do it with a healthy Smith, Hankins, Martin and Gilmore.
