This from the NFC East blog on ESPN, but it has been mentioned in other blogs as well  LINK During the Cowboys' dominant seasons in the 1990s, they had to go through Brett Favre and the Packers on an annual basis. From 1993 to 1995, the Cowboys swept the Packers in three playoff games, including the NFC title game in '95. Dallas won those games by a combined 47 points. That's all great, but that was in the 1990's, it has no bearing on this year's Brett Favre or the Minnesota Vikings now!!  I don't like historical facts like this.  Sure it show the Cowboys have owned Favre before, but that don't mean anything now. Stop throwing out stats when they don't mean anything to today's game.  It may be good for the history books, but not for the game.
