A few days back we reported that the Cowboys have a very real interest in signing impending free agent cornerback Brandon Carr (Chiefs) to upgrade their defensive backfield. Today, the news out of Dallas is that both Carr and fellow cornerback Cortland Finnegan (Titans) are on the wish list and the Cowboys are expected to go hard after the pair when free agency commences on March 13th.

Adding one or both of Carr and Finnegan would immediately help to combat the aerial assault the Cowboys face in the NFC East eight times a year, along with the conference’s top teams in Green Bay and New Orleans.

Both the Chiefs and the Titans still have designs on keeping Carr and Finnegan respectively with their clubs, but if they’re unable to sign them, it’s expected that both players will find major contracts elsewhere.
