The Dallas Cowboys have terminated the contract of defensive tackle Jay Ratliff placing him on the failed physical list from Reserve/PUP (Physically Unable to Perform). Ratliff was eligible to come off the PUP list this week after suffering a hamstring injury in training camp, but Jerry Jones and the Cowboys decided to cut ties with the eight-year veteran Wednesday afternoon. Ratliff made four straight Pro Bowls from 2008-11, but played only six games last season, recording just 25 tackles and no sacks. Ratliff signed a a five-year extension that totaled out to $48.6 million.  The Cowboys will pay the majority of his $10.268 million cap charge next year. Cowboys DE Ware likely out against Eagles

It's looking like the Dallas Cowboys will be without Pro Bowl defensive end DeMarcus Ware for Sunday's game in Philadelphia. Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones says the team will be conservative with...

The Last Time DeMarcus Ware Did Not Play

DeMarcus Ware will most likely miss the first game of his career on Sunday. It looks as if DeMarcus Ware will miss as many as four games with a quad injury. Assuming he misses Sunday’s game at Philadelphia, it will be the first time he has missed a game during his career. That means the last time that the Cowboys played a game without Ware was the season finale in 2004 against...

Cowboys DeMarcus Ware declares himself game-time decision

Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Ware still won't give up hope that he could face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday despite dealing with a thigh injury that could have him out three to four weeks. Jerry Jones: Romo is the Best in the Fourth Quarter

Jerry Jones was asked how comfortable he would be if Tony Romo was taking the field with two minutes to go in the upcoming game against the Eagles, and was down four points. Jones answer shouldn't surprise anyone, given the level of confidence that Jones has placed in the Tony Romo era and the $100 million contract that Jones rewarded Romo with in the offseason, per ESPN...

Cowboys' Ware out at least one game; Murray likely sidelined, too

DeMarcus Ware said even if he were to play this week at Philadelphia he wouldn’t be able to get off the ball like he should. “If I go out there it wouldn’t be 100 percent” he said Monday at Valley Ranch. “No question. There wouldn’t even be a point.” Ware is likely going to miss a game for the first time in his career because of a right quadriceps strain. He has played...
