Cowboys safety Jayron Kearse weighs in on George Kittle celebration
Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports

Dallas Cowboys safety Jayron Kearse had no problem with San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle wearing a “F--- Dallas” t-shirt underneath his No. 85 jersey during the 42-10 Week 5 victory Sunday.

From Kearse’s perspective, Dallas should’ve kept Kittle out of the end zone if they didn’t want him to celebrate as he saw fit.

“A couple of guys told me about it but I don’t have any thoughts on it,” Kearse said Wednesday, via Jonathan Alfano of Sports Illustrated. “I kind of think back to a couple years ago with the Carolina Panthers and guys had problems with Cam Newton dancing. You know the only way to stop that is to keep him out of the end zone.

“So we let him get to the end zone and he chose for that to be his celebration… I don’t have a problem with nothing he did. If we do our job and keep him out of the end zone, he wouldn’t have been able to do it.”

Kittle revealed the t-shirt to the masses on NBC‘s “Sunday Night Football” after scoring three touchdowns against Dallas. Appearing on “The Pat McAfee Show” Monday, Kittle discussed his decision to wear the t-shirt.

“That [shirt] was just on my loop, man. I put it on, was just wearing a t-shirt at the game, I don’t know how [f–k Dallas] got on there,” Kittle said jokingly. “I might’ve been mildly inspired by our guy [former linebacker] Gary Plummer, who wore that in the ’94 NFC Championship Game versus Dallas.

“There’s some things that need to be worn for the franchise… I think it’s just coincidence it just happened to appear on my chest on ‘Sunday Night Football.’”

Micah Parsons on George Kittle’s ‘F--- Dallas’ shirt: ‘Laugh now, cry later’

Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons offered his reaction on his podcast, “The Edge with Micah Parsons.” Parsons warned Kittle that Dallas has “got something for that” if the teams meet again.

“George Kittle had three touchdowns on us and he posted this thing to IG,” Parsons said. “He said, ‘F--- Dallas.’ I just feel like he’s making it way more personal than it had to be. Kittle’s my guy, but I’m gonna say this: Laugh now, cry later.

“We got something for that. Just trust. If we see them again, just trust. We gonna put it just like that. I ain’t gonna put too much on it. If you’re gonna make it personal, we can make it personal. That’s cool.”
