TEAMS: Dallas Cowboys, Tennessee Titans, New York Jets, Arizona State Sun Devils
IRVING, Texas (AP) -- The Dallas Cowboys have signed cornerback LeQuan Lewis.
Dallas announced the move Wednesday, a day after Lewis was released from the New York Jets practice squad. Lewis filled the roster spot created when the Cowboys released tight end Colin Cochart on Tuesday.
Undrafted out of Arizona State, Lewis signed with the Tennessee Titans in July 2011, but was released at the end of camp and out of football last season. He was signed and released by Oakland this summer, then signed Aug. 15 with the Jets, who put him on their practice squad Sept. 4.

Tim Tebow exit strategy out of New York already in the works?
Just one game into the 2012 campaign, questions on Tim Tebow’s long term future with the Jets are already beginning to pile up, and while he’s been careful to toe the company line during his time thus far in New York, the signs are beginning to point towards Tebow pushing his way out of town at season’s end.
Citing an NFL source, the New York Daily News is of the belief that...
Aikman was right: Cowboys’ Romo is a better QB than he was
I have long been a Romo-basher so even I was surprised that I ended up falling on this side of the debate but after taking a deeper look I realized that Troy Aikman may have been right. Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo is better than Aikman was. Now I know Aikman made this comment way back in March of this year so this argument played out months ago but after watching Romo...
Fantasy Football: Week #2 Waiver Wire Pickups
Written by Fantasy Furnace
It was great having football back last weekend! Drafts are over and the craziness that was week #1 is now in the books. Now comes the hard part. Deciding which of the several breakout stars of week 1 to grab or just leave alone. However, the pickups made before week 2 are usually the most important for grabbing potential studs. Study carefully...
Romo has used '07 playoff loss as motivation
IRVING, Texas The Cowboys return to Seattle on Sunday for the first time since they lost to the Seahawks during the Wild Card round of the 2007 playoffs.
Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, quarterback Tony Romo and tight end Jason Witten were all asked about that 21-20 loss on Wednesday.
With the Cowboys trailing by a point and 1:19 remaining, Romo fumbled the hold on a 19-yard...
Returning to Seattle won't be a snap for Romo
One of the worst moments of Tony Romo's football career, if not the worst, had nothing to do with him playing quarterback. On Jan. 6, 2007, it appeared that Romo would lead the Dallas Cowboys to a wild-card playoff win in Seattle.
He'd moved his team to Seattle's 2-yard line with 1:19 left in the game after tight end Jason Witten was stopped just short of a first down...
Hot New York Jets Cheerleaders (Pictures)
Hot New York Jets Cheerleaders. Today's ladies are from the AFC East and represent the last team in the division, the New York Jets. Feels appropriate to drop them today since they had probably the best showing in the first weekend of the NFL. They didn't score any points in the pre-season and came out and dropped 48 to beat the Bills. Not a bad way to start. ...
Ryan Cook quickly in center for Dallas Cowboys
(Eds: APNewsNow. With AP Photos.) By STEPHEN HAWKINS AP Sports Writer Ryan Cook was playing against the Dallas Cowboys in the preseason finale only a couple of weeks ago.
Now Cook is preparing to start in the middle of the Cowboys' restructured offensive front Sunday at Seattle. He was already snapping to Tony Romo and making line calls only two series into the season opener...
NFL Rumors: Will Tim Tebow Leave the Jets in 2013 If He's Still Not the Starter?

Cowboys Being Cautious With Ware
DeMarcus Ware was limited during Wednesday’s practice because of a lingering hamstring injury, not because of any aggravation from the season-opening win against the New York Giants. Ware played in 51 snaps against the Giants and had two sacks, six tackles and a quarterback pressure. He did not play in the final three preseason games as he recovered from the strain, and it could...
Jets Injury Report: CB Darrelle Revis Will Not Practice Wednesday
New York Jets head coached Rex Ryan told the Pittsburgh media on Wednesday during his conference call that All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis will not practice today as he continues to recover from the mild concussion that suffered in the Jets week 1 win against the Buffalo Bills.

Tony Romo TD Watch
Tony Romo is likely to surpass Troy Aikman in career touchdown passes.
I addressed this briefly before, but Tony Romo is going to wind up owning several team passing records by the time he is finished. The next major mark in his reach is the career record for most TD passes.
In only 78 career starts, Romo has 152 TD passes. That is one behind Roger Staubach and three behind...
Jets CB Darrelle Revis Cleared For Physical Activity
New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis has been cleared to run and lift weights - but not for contact - after suffering a concussion in the team's season-opening victory over the Buffalo Bills.
Coach Rex Ryan says Revis won't practice Wednesday, but it's an encouraging sign that the All-Pro is resuming normal activities. Revis must be cleared by the team physician...
Revis Cleared for Non-Contact Drills, Likely Game-Time Decision
In the fourth quarter of the New York Jets’ season opener against the Buffalo Bills, All-World cornerback Darrelle Revis was accidentally kneed in the back of the head by Bart Scott.
The Jets were cruising to an easy double-digit victory and I wasn’t quite sure why so many starters were still in the game. That came back to bite the Jets as their best player’s status is in doubt...

Turn On The Jets Stock Watch – Around The NFL Week 1
In case you missed my Jets Week 1 Stock Watch, you can read that here. Today I’m taking a look around the NFL and in familiar fashion will be buying and selling the comings and goings of a chaotic week 1.
