The Cowboys added some veteran help at safety on Tuesday by signing Eric Frampton.
A five-year veteran who has spent the majority of his career with the Vikings, Frampton should be ready to provide some depth to a unit hurt by injuries. The latest is starting SS Barry Church, who underwent successful surgery on Tuesday for a torn Achilles injury. Church will head to IR to make room for Frampton.
Gerald Sensabaugh missed last week's game with a calf strain but should return and Danny McCray is expected to start once again, but he's considered the team's top special teams player.

Cowboys S Church done for season
Cowboys safety Barry Church will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon against Tampa Bay on Sunday. With veteran sidekick Gerald Sensabaugh (calf) and Matt Johnson (hamstring) also out against the Bucs, Mana Silva was thrust into significant playing time. It's a big setback for Church, an undrafted rookie in 2010 who finally earned the...
Romo: Big hits part of playing QB in the NFL
ARLINGTON The Cowboys offensive line didn't do Tony Romo many favors in Sunday's home opener. Romo was sacked four times and hit hard after several throws.
After the game, Romo said the 16-10 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was one of the "most physically tough" games he's played in.
He then joked that he'd probably be using some ice packs tonight....
Cowboys defense bailed out offense in Week 3
As we look at the defense week after week, it is important that we keep a close eye on their progress and while noting that the caliber of opponent and quarterback is a very important consideration, we also don't want to minimize a gradual, but physical domination like we saw against Tampa Bay.
The Cowboys took a step back against Seattle, and all week you would think that...
Cowboys Dez Bryant Caught Yelling At WR Coach On Television
During the second quarter of the Cowboys 16-10 win Sunday, Dez Bryant appeared to be heated about something while sitting on the home team bench at Cowboys Stadium, Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News reports.
A FOX television camera caught Bryant yelling something at Cowboys wide receivers coach Jimmy Robinson. The Cowboys were clinging to a 10-7 lead at that point. Bryant...
Witten not blaming injury for dropped passes
IRVING, Texas Don't blame the uncharacteristically high number of dropped passes on the spleen he lacerated last month or his age. Cowboys tight end Jason Witten doesn't want to hear excuses about why he dropped three passes against the Seattle Seahawks and three more on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
"Ultimately, for me, I've been in the right spot, I...
Dallas Cowboys: Week 4 NFL Power Rankings (#10)
Last week: 15 (+5)
Record: 2-1
The Cowboys, like the Eagles, can be dangerous if they can ever get their act together. Penalties and turnovers are killing them, but the latter typically evens out over time. They rank 2nd in the league in yards per play differential, including 1st in the league in yards per play allowed. Their defense is much better this season and they’ve done...
Melissa Rycroft Hot Chick of the Day (Pictures)
Today's hot chick is Melissa Rycroft from Dallas, Texas. She is a reality television contestant and former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. She was on the cast of Dancing with the Stars and made this seasons All Star cast by winning her season of the show. She should be one of the last girls standing with her dancing background and hottness to woo the crowd to vote for her. ...
Cowboys FS Gerald Sensabaugh Expects To Play On Monday Night
Cowboys safety Gerald Sensabaugh said Wednesday he expects to play in Monday night's game against the Chicago Bears.
Sensabaugh, who missed the Week 3 victory over Tampa Bay with a calf strain, has missed just two games during his four seasons with the Cowboys.
"I hate missing games," said Sensabaugh, who participated fully in Wednesday's walk-through.
He...
Witten 'crushed' he's not playing better
Tight end Jason Witten wasn't himself during the Tampa Bay game with four drops and two penalties and just two catches for eight yards. He wasn't himself after the game when he ducked out of the locker room without speaking to the media. Witten made amends for the latter Monday when he talked for 12 minutes, answering questions from reporters about his poor play. He still...
Cowboys vs. Bears: Monday Night Football Preview
Two storied NFL franchises tangle up on Monday Night Football this week, with the Cowboys hosting the Chicago Bears looking for a second straight victory. Dallas has been up-and-down so far this season. The Cowboys opened the season with an impressive 24-17 win over the New York Giants, but then were dismantled 27-7 by the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2. They rebounded last weekend,...
Cowboys' offensive line under the microscope
The Cowboys are tied atop the NFC East with the Eagles and Giants with a 2-1 mark. But they are not under any illusions that they are playing good football. The Cowboys offense has struggled the past two weeks in a 27-7 loss to the Seahawks and a 16-10 victory against the Buccaneers. The offense has scored just two touchdowns the past games mainly because the offensive line has...
Video: More Debacles for NFL Replacement Refs
It’s been a tough season so far for the replacement officials in the NFL. It seems to be obvious to almost every NFL player, coach and fan, who’s name isn’t Roger Goodell, that the replacement reps aren’t up to par with the currently locked out officials. We all know that the old officials made mistakes, but the amount of mistakes seemed miniscule compared to what we’ve...
Bucs offense quite offensive in loss to Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a score of 16-10. However, the score could have been one less touchdown for the Bucs as their offense could not get anything going.
Tampa Bay started off quick when Aqib Talib stepped in front of Cowboys’ wide receiver Miles Austin to intercept the pass from Tony Romo. Josh Freeman would go on to throw a one yard touchdown pass...
