Despite Sunday's victory coming by a narrow 19-14 margin against a one-win Carolina Panthers team, Jerry Jones called the outcome "satisfying" for his club. "Candidly, the win, to get out on that score, on the upper end of that score was beautiful to me," the Cowboys owner and general manager said. "There wasn't one thing ugly about it to me." The Cowboys improved to 3-3, which keeps them in the middle of the NFC East standings. Although Jones said that he thought the Cowboys would be more effective throwing against the Panthers, he focused mostly on the victory keeping his team in contention in the division. "With this team that I believe can improve and has room for serious improvement, and I say that positively, 3-3 keeps you in the hunt," Jones said. "All you have to do is look at the rest of the league and you're in the hunt. If you can be, and really make improvement, then you have a chance to do some things at the end of the year. "The key thing is, to make a statement like that, you have to believe that you have a team that's got a skill level and got the ability to improve from what got them from 2-3 or 3-3, this one does in my opinion."
