“It felt weird. I sort of put my left hand out to break the fall and it bent back as I kept going backwards,” said Crayton. “At the time I didn’t really know what it happened. But when I reached the training room (almost immediately after the touchdown) they were watching the replays and everyone in there was going ‘Oooh, Ahhh.’ – Patrick Crayton (NFL.com)

Latest news says that Crayton will only miss a couple of weeks of play. SIGH OF RELIEF. The replay on the injury looked like it could have been much worse. If he only misses 2 weeks, then he would miss games against the Indianapolis Colts and the Oakland Raiders. We would then have him back in what could be a HUGE match-up against the Chiefs.

Vincent Jackson will make his first appearance of the season next week and should replace Patrick Crayton in the lineup nicely. Imagine the receiving unit of Vincent Jackson and Malcom Floyd with Patrick Crayton in the slot and Antonio Gates running patterns up the middle. Potentially deadly combination!!
