Bears quarterback Jay Cutler deserves criticism like every other NFL quarterback does, but not to the extent that he has been scrutinized as of late.

The media has lashed out at him for his poor play and demeanor on the field since arriving in the league.

Last Thursday night against Green Bay he tossed four interceptions in a disappointing 23-10 loss to the Packers.

He was seen before the end of the first half yelling and actually pushing left tackle J’Marcus Webb. Clearly he is going to get criticism for something of that nature, but Cutler is trying to better his team’s play.

I’m not defending him for the shove, but I think it was blown way out of proportion.

The media and fans upset right now just need to move on from this incident.

He isn’t the only quarterback who has yelled or pushed his teammates before I promise you that.

Asked about the bump of Webb today on ESPN 1000, Cutler had this to say.

“I probably shouldn’t have bumped him, I’ll go with that. As far as me yelling at him and trying to get him going in the game, I don’t regret that,” Cutler said. “I’ve talked about it with the offensive line, each of them individually, and it is what it is. I think it’s been blown up probably a bit bigger than all of us expected. At the same time, that’s what you have to expect out of the media.”

“I think I had my composure. I think I had my composure all game. Under the circumstances, we moved the ball well all game,” Cutler said. “Every game, a win or a loss, you can go back and say, ‘We should have done this, we should have done that.”

Week 3 of Fantasy Football: The Studs

Once again, before we can move on to week 3′s picks, it’s time to recap our picks from week one. My Studs from Week 2 - I thought I might get lucky by repeating my week 1 pick with Jay Cutler at QB (even though I felt like stealing Stephen’s pick in RG3).  Cutler, though, was [...]

Week 2 Fantasy Football Recap: Chicago Bears - Green Bay Packers

Chicago Bears – 10, Green Bay Packers – 23This game didn’t really go as planned for anyone here, including Aaron Rodgers (213 total yards, 1 TD, 1 INT).  Rodgers ended up with barely over 200 total yards and one touchdown against one interception, for a very pedestrian total.  That makes two weeks where Rodgers numbers have been very low considering where he was taken in...

Rachal Taking Over For Spencer At Left Guard Could Really Help The O-Line

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was sacked twice in the home opener versus the Colts and seven times in Week Two against the Packers. Nine sacks through two games is just unacceptable. He appeared in 55 games making...
