Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler said in his weekly radio show that he received treatment for his sore neck on Monday morning and expects to play against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. "Unless something drastic happens, absolutely," Cutler told ESPN 1000 radio. Cutler was taken out of Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth quarter with a sore neck. He was hit by defensive end Everson Griffen, who was penalized for unnecessary roughness. The quarterback said his neck is "just tight. Got some treatment this morning, so should be ready to go later in the week." Bears coach Lovie Smith did not say much about Cutler's status during his weekly press conference. "Without going into detail, which I don't really know, I think it's normal soreness that you would have from a stiff neck," Smith said. "But again, I try not to jump too far on that side, to try to play doctor too much. Cutler missed one game i...

So today the Bears lost to a really ordinary Vikings team and.. Yeah, there's a new GM in Phil Emery and thank GOD Jerry Angelo is gone, but I do not understand what is up with guys WAAAAAY smarter than me not understanding that your offense won't work without guys who can block. I literally squirm when Jay Cutler drops back. When I imagine what he might do if he was...

Chicago Bears Lose Game, Perhaps the Season to the Vikings

Perhaps this loss to the Minnesota Vikings is endemic of Lovie Smith's career as a Chicago Bears head coach.  The defense played well, but gave up just enough to lose the game.  The offense showed promise, but never put up enough points to win the football game.   In this loss the full ugliness of Smith's tenure was on display with the defense giving up over 100 yards...

It’s Deja Vu All Over Again for the Chicago Bears

Injuries have played a role in the Bears recent struggles. But this version of the Bears yearly collapse has many other factors. Whether it be injuries, play calling, personnel, or Father Time, every aspect seems to make a yearly appearance at one point or another and derail the season. This...

Lack of a True Tight End Hurting the Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears have very rarely been known for their offense throughout the history of the NFL.  The Chicago Bears have always been a franchise known for their defensive prowess and superstars.  The 2012 season has been no different for the Bears.
