If you’ve already had your fantasy draft, I’m sorry.
I’m sorry because this advice is a little too late. But I’m more sorry because you had your draft way too early. That was dumb.
See last night for the only reason you need not to have a draft so soon. Ryan Mathews, broken clavicle. Michael Vick injured thumb. Or you could even go back a few days and point to Trent Richardson’s sudden knee surgery.
Wait until at least after the third preseason game people. And when you do draft this year, look to grab some of these value picks:
Percy Harvin, WR, Vikings: Don’t worry about his offseason issues with Minnesota, he’ll ball when it comes time.
Jeremy Maclin, WR, Eagles: Poised for a breakout, but needs Vick to stay healthy.
Willis McGahee, RB, Broncos: Stop sleeping on this guy, a healthy Manning will open lanes for a north-south runner like McGahee.
Eric Decker, WR, Broncos: Meet Peyton Manning’s next best friend. #pprmonster
Stevan Ridley, RB, Patriots: Looks like he will fill the BenJarvus Green-Ellis void.
Roy Helu, RB, Redskins: Evan Royster drew the first start of preseason but did not run away with the job.
Matt Ryan, QB, Falcons: With Roddy White, Julio Jones, Tony Gonzalez and a new pass-happy offense, Ryan is poised for a top-5 fantasy football season.
Denarius Moore, WR, Raiders: Had a nice rookie season, needs to stay healthy.
Jonathan Stewart, RB, Panthers: Still just an injury away.
Fred Davis, TE, Redskins: Robert Griffin looked more than competent to lead this offense, Davis should benefit.
Ryan Williams, RB, Cardinals: Is anyone really afraid that Beanie Wells will keep him off the field?
David Wilson, RB, Giants: Ahmad Bradshaw could be regressing, Giants used a 1st-round pick on Wilson for a reason.
Jacquizz Rodgers, RB, Falcons: Michael Turner is not getting any younger and Rodgers can participate in the pass game.

- David Wilson, mentioned above, is one of five under-the-radar rookies worth owning this year. Could be a big contributor at some point this season. [RotoProfessor]
