A full slate of bye weeks beset fantasy owners in Week 5, and also thinned the pool of potential waiver wire additions for the week ahead.

Still, there is some help out there for needy fantasy football owners.

Quarterbacks

Brandon Weeden, Browns (291-2-2)
With the right matchup, Weeden could be a good bye week QB in the coming weeks.

Christian Ponder, Vikings (258-2-2; 3-31)
Should be owned as a QB2 in all leagues now.

Running Backs

Jahvid Best, Lions (DNP)
Worth a flier. Lions are hoping to have him back this week.

Alex Green, Packers (9-55; 1-8)
With Cedric Benson down, Green is the next man up.

David Wilson, Giants (2-44-1)
Andre Brown got hurt, so Wilson came in during garbage time. Back on the radar.

Ronnie Hillman, Broncos (3-9; 1-4)
For deep leagues only. Hillman seems to have passed Lance Ball as the No. 2 RB.

Kendall Hunter, 49ers (11-81)
Another good week against a bad defense.

Wide Receivers

Brandon Gibson, Rams (3-33)
Not sexy, but with Danny Amendola sidelined somebody has to catch passes.

Randall Cobb, Packers (4-82-1)
Probably still owned in most leagues. But if not, add him.

Kendall Wright, Titans (9-66)
Putting together a very solid rookie campaign from a PPR standpoint.

Devery Henderson, Saints (8-123-1)
Classic Devery Henderson. Temper expectations, and only use if Lance Moore is out.

Tight Ends

Jermaine Gresham, Bengals (5-60)
Good bye week tight end.
