After backing into the playoffs, the Denver Broncos were heavy underdogs at home on Sunday against the Steelers. Didn’t matter. With Tim Tebow under center, Denver pulled off a miracle upset — in overtime, of course — at home.

It only took one play in OT:

Not to be lost here was the contribution of Demaryius Thomas on the play. Forget Tebow for a second: Thomas was drafted ahead of Tebow by the Broncos in the same draft, has overcome some pretty serious injuries and had a successful sophomore campaign with a mediocre passing quarterback.

I know that this win should cement Tebow as the starting quarterback in Denver for the foreseeable future, but fantasy owners should not ignore the talent of Thomas on draft day next year just because he has an average throwing QB. Dude is a beast and can make plays happen all over the field. He likely will be drafted as a low-end WR2 or early WR3 next year, but could easily post stud WR1 numbers if healthy.
