Mason Waived: No Draft Pick for You!

There was news yesterday that Derrick Mason was waived by the Texans, meaning of course that it’s official that the Jets ‘trade’ of Mason to Houston will net them nothing. Report: McCoy situation could lead to independent neurologists at games

As anyone who frequents this site on a semi-regular basis knows, we firmly believe that the NFL needs to dramatically improve the procedures for determining whether a player has suffered a concussion or, as the case may be, concussion-like symptoms. I was disappointed to hear Jason La Canfora of the league-owned TV channel predict that…

Report: “Persistent chatter” Jerry Angelo could retire

The offseason could be an interesting one in Chicago, and not just because the contract of offensive coordinator Mike Martz will be expiring. Jason La Canfora of NFL Network said on Gameday Morning that there is “persistent chatter” among scouts that Bears G.M. Jerry Angelo could retire.  La Canfora mentioned that the decision could hinge…
