Two seasons ago, Dallas Clark had 100 catches from Peyton Manning. Now he’s still a free agent in mid May and was passed on by Peyton Manning and the Broncos for his former backup, Jacob Tamme. Clark has been on one visit so far, to Kansas City, who might have been looking at him purely as insurance for another Tony Moeaki injury, as they already have 2 solid tight ends on the roster in Moeaki and Kevin Boss, more of a blocker. Earlier this week, Clark visited with the Patriots, but it sounds like they were just kicking the tires on him as well. Between Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, and blocking tight end Daniel Fells, the Patriots don’t have room for another tight end unless someone gets hurt. Clark might not be on a team to start the season if things don’t change and then the 33 year old would have to decide between waiting for an injury and the phone to ring midseason, or retiring. New England Patriots work out another tight end

The Boston Globe reported yesterday that the New England Patriots held a workout for veteran tight end Dallas Clark on Friday. A team filled with receiving options and three highly qualified tight ends, I imagine this was nothing more than a virtual tire kicking workout so the Patriots could determine where he was physically in case the need to fill a roster position because of injury...

According to Adam Caplan of Sirius XM NFL Radio, the Buccaneers have indeed signed former Colts tight end Dallas Clark, filling the roster hole that will be left when the Buccaneers are able to orchestrate a trade ridding themselves of tight end Kellen Winslow. Report: Free-Agent Tight End Dallas Clark Visits Patriots

The Patriots already have a talented crop of tight ends, but could one more be joining the bunch? Free-agent tight end Dallas Clark visited the Patriots on Tuesday, according to The Boston Globe. The Patriots already have four tight ends -- Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, Daniel Fells and Brad Herman -- on the roster, so it's hard to imagine the longtime Colt landing in New...

According to a tweet by Boston.com's Shalise Manza Young, former Indianapolis Colts tight end Dallas Clark visited with the New England Patriots last Tuesday. Manning looks good in Broncos' first OTA workout

Peyton Manning is on target and there's plenty of zip on his throws at the Denver Broncos' first OTA workout. Manning ran the offensive practice, lining up receivers, running backs and even fellow quarterbacks during the Broncos' workout Monday that marked the first time the media witnessed Manning throwing the ball since last year's training camp. Up until now...

Report: Bucs will likely release Kellen Winslow, sign Dallas Clark

Getty Images According to Stephen Holder of the Tampa Bay Times, the Buccaneers are expected to released tight end Kellen Winslow and sign Dallas Clark, sooner rather than later. It doesn’t come as a shock that the Bucs will likely released Winslow, since it seemed very unlikely that any teams would make an offer for him.

Breaking down the Manning/Moore playbook

No one does Xs and Os better than the team at SmartFootball.com. This week they break down the surprisingly simple playbook that Peyton Manning and Tom Moore used to destroy opposing defenses for more than a decade: “Being there six years, I helped put in a lot of the information that they use,” Sorgi said. “But sometimes, how much you know doesn’t really matter. It...

Winslow likely out in Tampa Bay; Clark in?

Kellen Winslow has had a productive career to say the least as an NFL player. In his 3 seasons with the Buccaneers, Winslow has caught a minimum of 66 passes in any given season (2010) and gained a minimum of 730 yards receiving (also 2010). Despite very good numbers that would have him ranked as one of the better tight ends in the game today, it sounds as if his time with the Buccaneers...
