Dallas Cowboys Center Andre Gurode is facing a TOUGH CHOICE. Gurode, (at some point) needs to decide to take a pay cut, or keep what he's making, but risk being CUT from the Dallas Cowboys.Dallas Morning News is reporting that Jerry Jones held out the center in Saturday's preseason game against Minnesota, because he wanted both sides, (Gurode, and the Cowboys) to work on a new contract for Gurode. If both sides can't come to an agreement on a new deal, (a pay cut) then the Cowboys DON'T MIND releasing him from the team, and replacing him with Phil Costa, and also save $5.5 million by cutting Gurode.Gurode has two years left on his contract, and his base salary is $5.5 and $6.5 million. This season, his salary cap will hit $7.16 million.Even if they cut Gurode, the team won't be able to replace him with Costa, as it's expected that Costa could be out for two to four weeks, (missing out on the Opening Day game).
