The Landry Hat:
Despite a short stint in Dallas, he will always be remembered for running up the score. While the Dallas Cowboys versus the Washington Redskins used to be a marquee rivalry, it is arguable that the Cowboys and Eagles has become the biggest rivalry in the NFC East. According to a recent Landry Hat poll, the Philadelphia Eagles are the team most disliked by Dallas Cowboy fans. I, for one, will never forget that time in 1987 when Randall Cunningham, despite leading 30-20 with less than a minute to play, faked a third consecutive kneel-down and instead threw a touchdown pass. For a really intense rivalry to thrive, the antagonism has to go both ways. Thankfully, I am sure that the fans in Philly have a similar dislike for the Boys (why else would they wildly cheer when Michael Irvin was injured?)Given the magnitude of this rivalry, I am going to break with tradition and try to write a 3-part preview this week instead of my normal 2-part series. This one, the first, will just address t...

Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones is no longer wearing a protective boot on his sprained left ankle. He’s hoping to get back on the practice field next week. “I was so happy to get out of this thing, I don’t even remember when it was,” Jones joked on Wednesday. Right now Jones is expected to [...]
Tuesday night, I hunkered down in the film room (read: NFL Game Rewind) and watched the last two games of the Eagles’ week eight opponent, the hated Dallas Cowboys. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much. The team is 3-3, including three fourth quarter letdowns. Most of the press I’ve stumbled across about the division rival has been disparaging at best.
But I came away from...
NO BROTHERLY LOVE
Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan said before the year the Eagles were the all hype team. DeSean Jackson wonders why he's talking. Ryan still guarantees victory.
Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, as his last name suggests, is going to blitz the opposing offense.
There doesn’t seem to be a disagreement in the Cowboys locker room over whether or not the Eagles game is a big game. It is. That’s accepted. But there does seem to be a disagreement over whether players should approach the game as such, or whether they should do their best to treat it as “just another game.”
Mike Jenkins, for instance, subscribes to the latter approach...
Michael Vick's return to being one of the most marketable athletes in the NFL is going faster then some thought, and that path to the top continued this week as he graces the cover of another magazine.
Vick is on this week's issue of Uptown Magazine, and in it he talks about returning the NFL, how he has changed since his days in Atlanta, and how he felt when Eagles fans...
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Vince Young is being sued by a Dallas strip club manager he allegedly punched in the face last year.
Creiton Kinchen claims in a lawsuit filed in a Dallas court Tuesday that the 28-year-old Houston native and former University of Texas star hit him ''suddenly and without provocation'' at the club.
Kinchen, a manager at Club Onyx in...
Asante Samuel is one of those players that never seems happy. No matter how much money you throw at him or how many games his team wins, there’s always a problem. With the Patriots, Samuel could not see eye-to-eye with upper management once it became obvious they would not be offering him a long-term deal. [...]
Dez Bryant isn't a quarterback, but he's playing one this week in Cowboys practice. Bryant is running plays playing the role of Eagles star Michael Vick.
Unhappy he was trade bait, Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel criticized management and compared the team's front-office to people who play fantasy football.
