Dan Orlovsky to Chargers, Bengals: 'Please spend money to support these quarterbacks'

The Bengals and Chargers appear to have hit the jackpot in the draft this year, as rookie quarterbacks Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert have both played phenomenal for their respective teams since being drafted in the top 10. ESPN's Dan Orlovsky has a plea for both teams: spend some money to bolster your offensive lines to protect their young quarterbacks.

"I'm pleading to you Mike Brown of the Cincinnati Bengals and the Spanos family for the Chargers, please spend money to support these quarterbacks because if you do... they will both bring you Super Bowls," Orlovsky said on "Get Up." "They are that good. Joe Burrow plays like a 10-year veteran and not like a good one, but a really, really good-to-great one. Justin Herbert? Anything you can say about what you want in a quarterback, this kid has."

Typically, neither the Chargers or Bengals have been teams to spend lavishly in free agency, and both teams have had their share of struggles with offensive line play this season. The Bengals are tied with the Philadelphia Eagles for the most sacks allowed this season (averaging four per game so far), and while the Chargers offensive line has been better, injuries have left Herbert susceptible to pressure.

Luckily for the Chargers, outside of the offensive line, they have a ton of depth and weapons on both sides of the ball, but for the Bengals, they have a lot of holes to fill on their roster. At this time, it remains to be seen if Brown is willing to make the necessary adjustments to make the team a contender.
