We know that some players are not shy about hiding their dislike for opponents, but it’s not often we get to hear owners trash opposing teams. Apparently that’s what Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder was doing following his team’s 17-16 win over the New York Giants on “Monday Night Football.”
According to USA Today’s Robert Klemko, Snyder was “offering congratulations to anyone who would take them” inside the Redskins’ locker room.
Klemko also reports that Snyder shook the hand of one staffer, telling him as he walked away, “I hate those mother——.”
The ‘Skins lost to the Giants in Week 7 27-23, so the win had to be sweet for Washington. Not only did they get revenge, but at 6-6, they’re now only a game out in the division race. The Redskins have also won three games in a row against NFC East opponents for the first time since 2005.
Rest assured, Dan, that the Giants are probably thinking the same thing to themselves.
