As we prepare for the 2012 NFL draft which is only 7 days away there is an unspoken aspect of the Miami Dolphins offense which might play a bigger role than most care to discuss.
Last year Reggie Bush had a career year, rushing for over 1,000 yards for the first time in his career. It was also only time in his career where he started over 10 games. Reggie has had a track record of being knocked up and until last year had the tag of being one of those “injury prone “players.
2010 8 games played 6 games started
2009 14 games played 8 games started
2008 10 games played 9 games started
2007 12 games played 10 games started
Miami can’t take Reggie’s health for granted as there is no guarantee that Reggie will come back as strong next season or as healthy. While I have confidence in Reggie’s skill it is critical to always have a backup plan because depending on Bush would be irresponsible. In addition Bush is also in a contract year so the Dolphins might want to use even ounce of hi...
BEST OF MAXIM
The Miami Dolphins now know the gauntlet that lies before them. Prior to yesterday, they knew what teams stood in their way of the playoffs. Now they know the dates, times, and order that those games will be played in. Seems somewhat boring, huh? Well, the NFL Network and ESPN both televised ‘Schedule Release’ shows and Twitter [...]
When we hear about an athlete like Marques Colston who comes from a Division 1-AA school to make an impact at the NFL level, most of us are in awe. In order to gain recognition paying at a school like Hofstra, you really have to put on a show. How about an NFL player who never even played football at the college level? Now that’s impressive. Earlier this week, the Dolphins signed...
“Need is a terrible negotiator and an even worse evaluator. However,
the panic to draft someone who might turn out to be great is immense. Which is
why, in addition to worrying about whether...
Come here for the best Miami Dolphins blog on the web. We have all of the most up to date new and opinions on the Dolphins organization for its fans.
The Dolphins have been busy recently with the signings of Gary Guyton, Legedu Naanee and Les Brown. The signings add some needed depth to the team, but there is some big time potential in there too.
Gary Guyon, LOLB: Guyton, a former Patriot, will bring some nice needed depth to the linebacking corps. This is in no way a high profile signing (only 4.5 sacks in 32 starts, 60 games...
The Miami Dolphins have pretty much struck out with every single major free agent they have attempted to sign. But they are at the top of the list when it comes to teams targeting accountants to play TE. The Dolphins signed Les Brown, a former Division II basketball player for Westminster College out in Utah. [...]
The Miami Dolphins signed a 6′ 4″, 238 lb Tight End on Wednesday, whose story is a bit different than any other NFL hopeful.
Les Brown, a former accountant and basketball Small Forward agreed to terms with the Dolphins after a rather impressive pro day at BYU. Brown impressed NFL scouts with his 4.4 forty-yard-dash, 39 inch vertical and 10-3 broad jump, all on a grade 3 ankle...
DAVIE, Fla. General manager Jeff Ireland acknowledges his Miami Dolphins have some glaring needs to be addressed in next weeks draft.
I think theyre pretty glaring to me, Ireland said Thursday, so I havent really changed too much what I want in this years draft.
But can the draft solve Miamis problems? And can Ireland be trusted to oversee Miamis problem-solving process? Thats...
The Miami Dolphins just inked Les Brown to play tight end. Never heard of Les Brown? That's because he didn't play football in college and he's been working as an accountant at a private equity...

As most of you rabid football fans already know, the NFL 2012 Regular Season Schedule was released yesterday. The NFL.com site has a pretty good preliminary analysis of how Miami will do this season. Of course, I think we all need to see how the draft shapes up and what they lookl like AFTER they put on their pads. One thing is for sure, I think this team will be...
Here is the breakdown for Wonder's 2012 NFL Draft for Quarterback.
The way drafting works in the NFL, General Managers get judged vs what others think they should do, not what is necessarily right. Case in point, the 2006 Draft. Everybody wanted to line up to kiss Reggie Bush's ***. The Texans could not agree on a deal with Bush and they went elsewhere, taking...
